Overseas distributors wanted to help build Thinking-Cooking brand

DISTRIBUTORS are wanted for the innovative Thinking-Cooking range – a new range of retail kitchen products aimed at making people’s lives easier in the kitchen.

The range has eight products – all items made by Sirane, European market leaders in food packaging development-to-manufacture – including microwave and oven steam cooking bags, nylon roasting bags, grill liners, slow-cooker liners and fresh produce bags.

We’re particularly interested to hear from potential distributors interested in taking the range into supermarkets and grocery stores in Scandinavia and Western Europe.

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director, said: “Thinking-Cooking has brought a number of items to the market which will truly make people’s life easier in the kitchen. Feedback has been very positive, and we're now looking for the brand to be developed overseas to back up what is happening in the UK.

“We’ve already gained many loyal customers online who are coming back again and again as they appreciate the quality of the products – the next step is to find distributors. We’ve established a demand for the products, we just need the distributors in place.

“Our Thinking-Cooking range can save people time and money. Whether it’s reduced cooking time, less washing up or less wasted food, they impact positively in the kitchen.”

The full Thinking-Cooking range features the popular Steam-Cooking Bags for oven/microwave – which has been sold direct to the public for a while – alongside the Baby & Toddler Meal-Pouch, Fat-Trap oven-grill liners, nylon Roasting Bags in two sizes, Potato-Bakers, fresh produce shelf-life bags, Deli-Fresh food bags, and Slow-Cooker Liners.

“Whether you’re looking to steam cook food in a healthy yet convenient way, cook a tasty roast dinner with less hassle or make food last longer, Thinking-Cooking has something in its range for everyone,” added Jeremy, “they are all great products.”

The Steam-Cooking Bag is an ovenable or microwaveable steam cooking bag, which seals in all the juices and flavours and allows healthy eating and fast food to be combined. The Baby & Toddler Meal Pouch will similarly allow small portions of healthy food to be cooked fast.

Roasting Bags are available for both turkeys and chickens, and will crisp up the bird perfectly, stop it from drying out, and significantly reduce the cooking time. They can be also be used for roasting other joints of meat, whole salmon or trout and many other things.

Fat-Traps can be used on oven-grills to soak up the fat – healthier food and less cleaning – while Slow-Cooker Liners will also cut down on the hated washing-up.

Our shelf-life bags – branded under the name The Incredible Fruit and Veg Bags – are just that:  incredible. They offer significant shelf-life extension, are breathable, natural, 100% sustainable and 100% compostable. There’s really nothing not to like…

“We’re now looking for distributors overseas who are happy to take these great products into stores and new markets,” said Mark Lingard, marketing manager for Sirane, “so we’d love to hear from anyone interested and who has the relevant contacts."

Use a steam-cooking bag to use up that pumpkin

WE'VE all been there – you’ve hollowed out your pumpkins ready for Hallowe’en, but what do you do with the pumpkin flesh piled high on your chopping board.

There’s only so much spiced pumpkin soup one family can eat. Pumpkin cake’s nice but it is… well it’s a cake – it’s not exactly healthy. Well Thinking-Cooking has the answer.

The Thinking-Cooking Si-bag™Meal-Maker is a cook-in bag designed to be used safely in a conventional oven up to 200 degrees celsius, in a microwave - and even in a freezer for subsequent reheating and eating.

Just follow our simple recipes and within minutes you could be eating a stunning pumpkin-based meal or dessert. Turn your left-over pumpkin into a real culinary treat.

Thinking-Cooking Si-bag Meal-Makers can be bought in packs of 10. Slow-Cooker Liners would also be handy for Hallowe'en, as there's some tasty casseroles to be made using Slow-Cookers - so a pack of 3 might be handy.

But to start you off, here's a simple recipe for a steam-cooking bag – a simple pumpkin, chicken and tomato dish.

INGREDIENTS

400g of pumpkin, 2 chicken breasts, 4 tomatoes, mixture of fresh herbs, 1 clove of garlic

METHOD

1.      Remove the pumpkin seeds and dice the pumpkin flesh

2.      Chop the tomatoes

3.      Finely chop the garlic clove

4.      Place all the ingredients, including the mixed herbs, inside the Thinking-Cooking Si-bag Meal-Maker. Fold down the flap and seal.

5.      Based on a 900W microwave cook for 5 minutes, increase the time slightly if your microwave is a lower wattage. If using a conventional oven, cook at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.

Ovens do vary, so please ensure food is cooked and piping hot before serving. Be aware of hot contents when opening the bag.

New non-stick BBQ/Oven bags are perfect for fish

Non-stick Oven/BBQ bags from Thinking-Cooking

OUR newest addition to the Thinking-Cooking range - non-stick oven and BBQ cooking bags - are perfect for steaks, poultry and vegetables. But there's one product where they truly come into their own - and that's seafood.

The bag is simple to use, simple to open, cooks food to perfection – and can be used in almost any cooking environment, from ovens to barbecues, griddles to hot plates.

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director, said: “Our Oven/BBQ cooking bag has so many potential uses – and offers numerous advantages to users – and the non-stick layer makes it the perfect solution for cooking seafood, particularly on a BBQ but also in the oven.

“It is a foil bag capable of withstanding significant direct heat, allowing for its use on a barbecue as well as in an oven. The food sits above the non-stick layer, and once cooked will be tender, retain all the juices and flavours as well as the goodness.

“There's no mess, no smell and no-need to handle the food. Just put the seafood in the bag, along with a marinade, sauce, vegetables or whatever you wish, and cook - it is that simple. Seafood can often stick, but that is not a problem with our clever non-stick bags."

The bags come with a clear top panel – so users can see what’s being cooked.

It is also perfect for meat, poultry and vegetables – anything that can be cooked in an oven or on a barbecue can be cooked in this bag – and it means people will no longer have to cook separately for meat-eaters and vegetarians, as the bags can sit side by side.
